What to write me about

Consulting engagements. Threat and risk analysis, security program design, incident-response readiness, and security architecture for small and mid-sized organizations. The most useful first message tells me three things: what your organization does, what prompted you to look for security help now, and what "solved" would look like for you. I'll reply with an honest read on whether I'm the right fit — including when I'm not. If you already know it's an assessment you need, start with the security audit.

Writing and speaking. I write about security operations, cyber-governance, and digital resilience for both technical and non-technical audiences, and I'm glad to do the same for your publication, podcast, or event.

Research collaboration. If you work on cyber-resilience under sanctions or isolation, internet shutdowns, or CSIRT capacity-building — academically or in practice — I want to hear from you. See the research page for what I'm working on.

Students and career-changers. I answer questions from people entering security, especially those doing it from difficult places. Be patient with response time; I answer these in batches.

What happens next

I reply to substantive messages within two working days. For consulting inquiries, the usual path is: short written exchange → a 30-minute scoping call → a one-page proposal stating what I'll do, what I won't, and what it costs. No obligation attaches to the first two steps.

A note on confidentiality

Security conversations are sensitive by nature. Anything you share in an inquiry is treated as confidential by default, before any agreement is signed. If your situation warrants encrypted communication, say so in a first (non-sensitive) email and we'll set up a secure channel before you share details.
